Been Awhile!

Its definitely been awhile since I last blogged! I mostly just like reading everyone else's blog because mine is so boring!

A week before we moved home from Texas, Brian had surgery to get his gallbladder out and is feeling much better! That darn gallbladder, who needs it anyway :)

It took me 3 months to get a job and now I work at the Idaho Kidney Institute as the Medical Assistant! It's the best job I have ever had, and also the most stressful! The Doctors are absolutely amazing and are incredibly smart, I'm pretty darn lucky, I love the people I work with.

Brian is working with Mountain West Electric as an electrician apprentice. He has an awesome boss that we really like. We're pretty excited to have a good stable career that won't make us move every summer!

Harley has been to the vet three times since we've moved back. Between eating things he isn't supposed to, to being attacked by a big white dog, he's had an eventful couple months!

I got a new camera but haven't taken many pictures, however we are planning on getting family pictures in the spring and I will definitely post those!

Idaho!

I lost my camera so no pictures :(

Good news though in two weeks we'll be on our venture home to Idaho permanently! We are estatic, Brian got a job with Mountain West Electric. He was in the apprenticeship before apx came along and with the help of some friends he is going back! And I'll finally be able to finish my classes on campus!

shortest post ever, but we might be MIA until we get everything settled

Oh, Deer.

Life has been much better lately.

I love my job! I love the ladies I work with, it is definitely an entertaining place to work. The offenders leave me alone for the most part, every once in awhile one of them will cat-call at me like they haven't seen a woman in a long time but someone usually always tells them to shut it for me. The guards are nice and the system is set up very well so I feel safe.

Brian is doing good too, just work mostly and we still don't know what exactly we want to do so for now we'll just keep working until we figure it out.

Texas is so hot, in fact the hottest it has been in awhile. We hit the record of most days over 100 degrees in one year. Harley doesn't want to go outside so the poor thing will hold it until early morning or late night or until we carry him outside ourselves. We had heard that wildlife has been dying because we haven't had rain in so long and of the heat. Then the other day we got proof of how thirsty these animals are. We couldn't figure out why Harley was going insane at the window until we looked out and saw six deer in our lawn. Two mommas and four babies. Drinking away at the hose we had on. We love them, I've seen them watch me some mornings as I leave for work. Aren't they the cutest things you have seen?! Sorry the pictures aren't good. We had to take them from inside our windows and every move we made it seemed like they could hear us so we were trying so hard to be quiet.

That's mostly all we've been up to, has anyone seen the new Harry Potter? We are completely nerded out on it, I wish it was true!

New Job!

It didn't take as long as I thought it would and I got offered the job I really wanted last week! It's with Hendrick Medical Hospital here in Abilene but I'm out at one of the Texas Prisons! My mom is not very thrilled with the prison part but I'm pretty excited! Criminal work is my new major so I'm anxious to see if it's something I really want to do!

There's a part in the prison where I have to walk all by myself with just the guards up in the towers watching, to the medical building, and the offenders are out and about walking as well. I think that's the part where I lost my mom on how awesome of a job it is!

I didn't take this picture, but this it what it looks like.

May 2011

When we did the summer installing, at the end of every summer I would be dying to go home and see my family. That type of homesickness hit me about three months ago and got worse and worse! Poor Brian had to hear the complaining multiple times a day! Then at the beginning of the month, we found out we were expecting! So incredibly crazy! It completely caught us off guard and the shock never went away. It must of been the pregnancy hormones creep in on me because I cried all the time, for no reason whatsoever! Finally I came home after a long day at work and bought a plane ticket to go home!

Of course, my work wasn't thrilled at my actions, and told me there was no way they could let me go, so the next day I put in my two weeks, and was so relieved to finally see people that I loved! I didn't go to the doctors right away to confirm if the news was true, I trusted the four tests I took but I finally scheduled an appointment to go in. I knew something wasn't right a couple days before my appointment but I kept myself busy to not think of what was happening. I pray that no one has to hear the news that we did, all they could confirm was that our baby didn't live past five weeks. The shock from when we found out to the shock at the appointment felt the same and I took it a lot harder then I thought I would.

I know someday we'll be parents and maybe we'll be able to use the name that I clinged onto the whole time. What a wonderful husband I have by my side, I could gush for hours on how great he is to me and how he treated me last month! And now to gush about my parents, they cheered me up a billion times more and did everything that I wanted to do! I don't know when we'll be able to move home, but I'm hoping to sometime later this year, I never realized how much I love my home state until you live away from it for so long.

Exhibit A on cheering up: we found these glasses in my sisters old room, I about died when my dad put them on, then my mom and I joined in, I wish everyone could of been there the hysterical laughter was so fun.

I am so incredibly obsessed with my neices and nephews. Camilla and Trent are so much fun for me!
It was my sisters birthday while I was home and my favorite part of her dinner was when they sang to her at Garcia's, she took it like a champ however Trent glared at us the whole time! He was so embarrassed!
